I’m sharing early holiday cheer with you: this fun Christmas Movie Bingo game! We all know Hallmark Christmas movies are cheesy, but that’s exactly what makes them so comforting. They’re the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Cozy Christmas Romance movies are a great excuse to unwind. They are safe and comforting and when paired with this bingo game, they become a fun way to spend quality time with friends and family.

I made my husband play with me to test them. We had our own Hallmark movie marathon- calling out items from our cards as they appeared on screen. We had a blast and joked around the whole time. We decided that cozy holiday movie bingo is a great way to share that glowy holiday feeling together!

The Game That Makes Holiday Comedy Romance Movies Even Better (If that’s possible)

This bingo game was developed and tested using Hallmark Christmas movies, and while it might work with other cozy Christmas films, it’s only fair to let you know what it was developed with.

If there’s a Christmas trope you can describe in a few words, it’s probably on one of these bingo cards. I came up with more than 170 items. I placed them randomly on more than 25 unique game cards. There are enough options that you can play movie bingo at a party. If you like cozying up alone instead, you have lots of options to keep the game fresh. These bingo cards are great to use for the Countdown to Christmas, offering a fun way to enjoy your favorite festive films.

How to Play Holiday Hallmark Movie Bingo

Here’s how it works: sit down and watch a movie. Be on the lookout for items and situations that appear on your card. Any appearance in the movie counts—not just moments involving the main characters.

I made more than 25 different cards, so you can gather your friends and family to play as a Christmas party game. Since Holiday Hallmark movies always have happy endings, we’ve made that the “free space” on every card.

The basic bingo win pattern is a horizontal or vertical line pattern of five squares. If you like, you can agree on different patterns for winning. For example, if you need it to be a shorter, easier game you might declare that the first person with ANY five items on their card wins.

You can print out as many as you like for friends and family, or take them to a print shop to have them printed for personal use if you want a special finish.

Optionally, you can offer a prize to the winner. Or first, second, and third place prizes based on time to completion or competing easier/more difficult patterns. Perhaps a handmade ornament or a Christmas themed mug would be appropriate?
